Ryan, Cecilia and Kayla Arashi are the backbone and structure of Arashi Karate, Colfax FSKA. They lived in Japan off and on for 8 years and have practiced in different styles of Karate in both Japan and the USA. They truly understand the inner working of both the Japanese philosophy of Budo (warriors way) and the American way of living. It is believed by our family that understanding the differences in culture between Japan and America is an absolute necessity in being able to teach karate correctly in America. "One must see both sides of a coin in order to say if it is really shiny." That is what makes Arashi Karate method especially different, and the Arashi family which leads it different than most Karate groups teaching in America. We have been there and experienced both ways of life, and both way of teaching Karate, and so we offer a unique blend of traditional and modern understanding.
